The perfect gift for me would be

Last year, ski shop,
Encounter, most interesting.

So deck those halls, trim those trees
Raise up cups of Christmas cheer,
I just need to catch my breath,
Christmas by myself this year.

Calendar picture, frozen landscape,
Chilled this room for twenty-four days,
Evergreens, sparkling snow
Get this winter over with!

Flashback to springtime, saw him again,
Would've been good to go for lunch,
Couldn't agree when we were both free,
We tried, we said we'd keep in touch.

Didn't, of course, 'til summertime,
Out to the beach to his boat could I join him?
No, this time it was me,
Sunburn in the third degree.

Now the calendar's just one page
And, of course, I am excited

Not to do too much about it.

裏窓

ヒッチコックの名作　裏窓

この映画が、映画であるのが単純に凄いと思う。

だって、これほどまでに登場場面の少ないサスペンスが他にあるのかってぐらいなのだから。


ニューヨーク　チェルシーの　住宅地の　裏庭　以上。

裏窓から見える風景に、たくさんの要素がちりばめられていて最初はどこから事件が起こるのか分からない。


ちょうど、内田樹の本に、小津の『秋刀魚の味』と、ヒッチコックの『裏窓』を例に、映画に於ける視点の話が出てて、ちょうどこの二作をみたところだったので、ものすごいわかりやすかった。

この本で、ヒッチコックの観客を引き込む手法、観客に先を読ませて、それを裏切るやり方、観客をだます方法に見事にやられてしまった。

はじめての小津映画。

前に映画館で成瀬巳喜男の『浮雲』をみたのですが、勝手にそれを小津映画だと勘違いしていた私…
正反対の作風なんですね。。。


ものすごくスローに話が進んでいく。

この映画も、陰影礼讃と一緒で日本が失ってしまったものを描いている。　でも、みんな　いいなあ　と思うわけだからまだ終わったわけじゃないと思うけど。

女の人がただただ魅力的。こういう女性になりたいものです。
